Racks and physical storage

Locate a part

Open 2 Racks, select a rack, then choose a slot in its 5 × 5 grid. Use the slot details to inspect its component. Stock also shows the selected component’s rack location.

Place and move components

Use Actions for rack creation, assignment, automatic assignment, unassignment, printing, filtering, and other rack administration.

For an occupied slot, Place/Move starts a move. Select the destination and complete the move there. Check the resulting location before leaving the rack.

An empty rack shows Delete rack, also available with x. Confirm with Enter to remove it. The deletion is recorded in History.

Pick parts for a board

Open a project and choose Find in racks with f. Inventatory visits one rack at a time, highlights the needed slots, and lists the current picks. Enter advances; Backspace returns to the previous step.

Parts outside racks appear last, grouped by location. At the end, confirm whether to subtract the picked quantities from stock. See Projects and BOMs for availability and shortage handling.

These instructions cover rack locations inside the software. A public fabrication or assembly package was not verified for this website; no printable hardware files are offered here.
